We don’t make good decisions when we are fearful; we make survival decisions. So here’s an idea (he said sarcastically) let’s teach our children to fear sex like it’s a hot iron. Let’s talk about it like it’s a secret. Let’s lie about its destructive force as if it’s a nuclear weapon. And then…let’s expect those children to make good decisions about sex.
If you want to engage the parts of the brain that involve higher reasoning and executive decision making when it comes to sex, maybe it would be a better idea to engage it from the start instead of attempting to control animal instincts with animal instincts. The Imago Dei instead of the imago death.
